This spring, the School of Arts and Sciences (with the assistance of several departments, including ours) organized a series of panel discussions on the causes and consequences of the January 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol building. The series featured an impressive lineup of prominent public figures, including Ross Douthat, Eric Foner, Mitch Landrieu, Yuval Levin, Henry Olsen, Jonathan Rauch, Laurence Rooney, and Theda Skocpol.
